Rights of children

What are the rights of children?
Population under 18 are considered as children.  The concept of  children's right is introduced to provide opportunity for children to spend their pleasant childhood  meaningfully and with protection. The basic reason for introducing concepts of  children's rights is that due to many reasons as poverty , wars, rebellions, deceases, environmental pollution, had caused breakdown the development and protection of children The UN convention  relations to the children's right  in 1989 including  40 rights.the main  idea for  this   is to make a proper protective environment for children.The first league of nations in declaration of the right of the child was on September 16in 1924.This declaration of right of a child was designed by Polish physician named Janusz Korczat. There are  main rights  for a child they are as :
    
 (1) Right to survive and develop
(2) Right to express ideas and to get respect to their views.
(3)Right to live under parental care and protection.
(4) Right to live in good health and social security.
(5) Right to educate in any sector.
(6) Right to get protect from economic and sexual exploitation.
(7) Right to identity.

There many incidents  that violate the children's rights. They are as;
(1) Taking children in labor force.
(2) Sexual exploitation.
(3) Loss of parental care.
(4) Using children for transporting drugs.
(5) Forcing  children to involving in war.

Violation of children's right is a illegal situation It is a responsibility to get away the children from such situation by explaining it to the society ,  the dreadful  situation for future generation.If somebody get information about such a situation it is a responsibility to inform it to police or Such for children's right.    
Lord Jesus said ,"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them,for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such of these."


Kumaratunga munidasa



Mr Kumaratunga Munidasa is considered as a great person in sinhala history. He is famous as a poet  but he has held many occupations as a teacher and as a journalist.He was born on 1887july 24th on a small village in Matara district in  Dekvella Idigasara village. He was the 12 child  of 13 siblings of his family . He started his primary education in Dekvalla Buddist college later he attend  St  Thomas college Mathara. he complete his education in Dekwella Perivena. 
He started his career as a teacher, later he became as a principle of  Kadugannawa Bilingual school. He also held his position as a inspector of education. He is considered as a educationist  in sinhala because of his ability  of communicating many language as sinhala, English, Tamil, Pail,Greek,Latin and Malayalam.  He was a writer of many sinhala poems as Tisara,Salalihini, Hansa,Paravi,Gira,His first book was Nikaya sangraha vivaranaya.and many other books as Sidath sagarava,Kav silumina,Lopakaraya,Kavya sakaraya,Amavatura,Alu athtanugalu ainshya,Pugawaliya,Saddarma rathnawaliya,Kusajathaka kavya  are famous of his books. He was a  person that  considered about the sinhala language development of children, by introducing many interesting books as Heensaraya,Hathpana,Magul kama ,Kumara gee ,Nelawilla, Kumarodaya are best among children. He introduced many grammer books to schools in order to improve the children's grammar knowledge.
He was also rendered his service as a journalist in Lakminipahana newspaper.   He passed away on 2nd march 1944, but the service he rendered still live in our lives.

THE WORLD WITHOUT WATER

What is water?water is consider as a natural resource that provide food and energy to all the survivals on the earth.  according to the scientist   theory it is a covalent chemical bond of one Oxygen atom and two Hydrogen atoms.
 
We know that vast area of the earth is covered by water, because of that it is called as the blue planet of the solar system. 70% of the earth is covered with sea water but the amount that be used has limited to 1%.  From the ancient times people used water for many functions and most of their residencies were near rivers and lakes. 


Most of our day today activities in life were depend upon water. for cultivation ,washing purposes, for industries. for transportation, for hydro power stations, for drinking  and for natural beauty
World without water will be  a dangerous  situation the wild life , human  and all the plants and trees on earth will vanish making earth a  place that suffer  with thirst

So it is our responsibility to conserve limited  water  resource   making earth a pleasant  place to live. There are many ways that fresh water gets impure.  Due to the development of world  many rural areas changed in to places that produce many products that makes water impure.   The chemical activities of industries are few examples. 


World water day falls  on March 25th it is the day that we should think about a place that exist without water. The main purpose for such day is to force people to conserve water as best as they can because water is the living source of our earth.

Thirty years ago in 1972  a small remote satellite  was sent by NASA to space in aim of searching the information about the planet Jupiter. It was named as PIONEER-10. It was   first satellite in history that was sent  out of the space in search of planets beyond the solar system, and was a great step of man in space exploration.

The main aim scientist of sending this satellite   was to get the pictures of  planet Jupiter
Jupiter. But due to the gravitational push of Jupiter it has been forced out of the space.

This artificial satellite was   made by special aluminum and was covered by gold layer. Scientist had sculptured a nude man and a women  in aim of introducing   humans to universe. It will not reach a star till thousand years, but scientist believe that  many information in space can be found by this satellite that function in  nuclear energy. It had received its  last radio signal at 2003
this had cause due to the damage in signal transmission

Belihuloya

Belihuloya is an interesting area in central hill country  that has attract to tourism industry. It is about 800m high from sea level. The belihuloya river  is one of the beautiful water ways in Sri Lanka.  The  climatic condition is as same as Bandarawela . it is about 27celisus.

 When considering about  the topographical features most of the places are small hills and mountain ranges. These features add beauty to the environment. This area is not highly populated   and not developed as main cities. Other special of this area is that the water falls and rivers that flows.

The main occupation of the people in Belihuloya   is agriculture. Most of people are in lower middle class level. Buddhism, catholic, and Hinduism are the main religions they believe.

 Some of the significant places in Belihuloya are  Belihuloya church, samanala wewa dam, Belihuloya river world”s end  and Sabaragamuva university.
